Why "Babylon Survivor"?
The name was born from a real escape. I left the big city because the concrete towers were choking me. I wanted a home with soil under my feet, far away from the life of modern Babylon. I moved to a small village and found a modest private house with a garden. Not long after, the contractors arrived. They convinced the landlord to build apartment towers there too. Wherever I ran, Babylon followed me. So one day I laughed, surrendered to the truth and said to myself: I guess I am a Babylon Survivor.
In English, the word "survivor" holds two meanings. It is someone who is still surviving, and someone who has already survived. Both are true for all of us. Young people all over the world are fighting the same battle: rent that eats their salary, homes they cannot afford, and cities that grow taller while life grows smaller.
Why is it a Jewish brand?
Since the First Temple was destroyed and our people were exiled to Babylon, the Jewish people have lived in exile. Even when we returned and built the Second Temple, the Ark of the Covenant was no longer in the Holy of Holies. In a deeper sense, Babylon never let us go. It lives on as a well-oiled system that keeps us busy, in debt and far from the freedom we long for.
A message for every nation
Babylon Survivor is a Jewish brand, but its message is for everyone. Jews and non-Jews are in the same boat, living through the same crisis. That is why we pray for the coming of the Messiah and for the redemption of the whole world. The Jewish people are here to be "a light unto the nations" (Isaiah 49:6), to inspire and not to threaten. Whoever hopes for that redemption is invited to welcome the Jewish people with love and to see them as partners on the road to freedom.
Wear the logo as a quiet declaration: I am still surviving, I have already survived, and I am grateful for the strength this journey revealed in me.
