Every brand has a logo. This one has a confession. The name Babylon Survivor did not come from a marketing meeting. It came from a man who tried to run away from Babylon and failed, again and again, until he laughed and accepted the truth.
The escape from the concrete city
I lived in the big city, surrounded by apartment towers. One day the walls felt too close. I wanted soil under my feet, a tree, a little silence. So I left. I moved to a small village and found a modest private house with a garden. For a while I felt free.
Then the contractors came. They convinced the landlord that the land was worth more as towers. The bulldozers arrived, the cranes went up, and the concrete followed me to the village. Wherever I ran, Babylon came after me. In the end I smiled and said to myself: "I guess I am a Babylon Survivor."
Two meanings in one word
In English, a survivor is someone who is still fighting to survive, and also someone who has already made it through. Both are true. Some of us are still surviving: paying rent that eats the whole salary, working two jobs, waiting for a better day. Some of us have already survived: we found a home, a calling, a family. But even those who survived keep surviving. Babylon does not retire.
What is Babylon today?
In the Bible, Babylon is the empire that destroyed the First Temple and carried our people into exile. Today, Babylon is not one country. It is a way of life: endless towers, endless screens, endless debt, and the feeling that we are always running and never arriving. You do not need to be Jewish to feel it. You only need to be human.
Why everyone is in the same boat
The Jew and the non-Jew, the rich and the poor, the young renter and the old homeowner. We all live inside the same system. Some feel it in the bank account, some feel it in the soul. That is why Babylon Survivor is a Jewish brand with a message for every nation. We pray for redemption for the whole world, not only for ourselves.
Wear the story
The logo is a quiet declaration: I am still surviving, I have already survived, and I am grateful for the strength this journey revealed in me. You can wear it on the classic Babylon Survivor snapback or on the original snapback, the hat where this story began.
Welcome to the Survivor Journal. In the next articles we will look at Babylon from every side: the renter, the rich, the poor, the Jew, the non-Jew, and the hidden strength that survival reveals in all of us.
