I moved to a small village and found a modest private house with a garden. Not long after, the contractors arrived. They convinced the landlord to build apartment towers there too. Wherever I ran, Babylon followed me. So one day I laughed, surrendered to the truth and said to myself: I guess I am a Babylon Survivor.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn English, the word \"survivor\" holds two meanings. It is someone who is still surviving, and someone who has already survived. Both are true for all of us. Young people all over the world are fighting the same battle: rent that eats their salary, homes they cannot afford, and cities that grow taller while life grows smaller.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhy is it a Jewish brand?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSince the First Temple was destroyed and our people were exiled to Babylon, the Jewish people have lived in exile. Even when we returned and built the Second Temple, the Ark of the Covenant was no longer in the Holy of Holies. In a deeper sense, Babylon never let us go. It lives on as a well-oiled system that keeps us busy, in debt and far from the freedom we long for.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eA message for every nation\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBabylon Survivor is a Jewish brand, but its message is for everyone. Jews and non-Jews are in the same boat, living through the same crisis. That is why we pray for the coming of the Messiah and for the redemption of the whole world. The Jewish people are here to be \"a light unto the nations\" (Isaiah 49:6), to inspire and not to threaten.
